Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and business-driven Specialist Analytics Engineer to join our Finance Data Team. In this pivotal role, you will architect and implement scalable, high-performance analytical solutions by integrating our core SAP data with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
• Lead the architecture and development of enterprise-grade Data Products, bridging the gap between SAP's business semantic layer and the Databricks Lakehouse.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines to extract and replicate data from SAP Datasphere into Databricks, utilizing best practices for Change Data Capture (CDC) and data synchronization.
• Transform and model complex SAP source data (e.g., Finance, Sales) within Databricks to build governed, performant, and business-oriented data marts using PySpark and SQL.
• Design and oversee the development of strategic dashboards and analytical layers in tools like Tableau or QlikSense, ensuring they are powered by the curated data in Databricks.
• Act as a data advisor for key departments, helping them leverage SAP data to define KPIs, conduct advanced analyses, and build data-driven decision-making frameworks.
• Ensure standardization, governance, and version control of implemented analytical solutions using tools like dbt and Git, integrating them seamlessly with existing data pipelines.
• Champion initiatives for analytical automation and data democratization, promoting the use of self-service tools and internal training on our SAP and Databricks stack.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and Technology teams to build solutions that connect data to digital products, processes, and business strategies.
• Mentor other analytics professionals, fostering technical development, methodological consistency, and data storytelling best practices.
• Represent the Analytics Engineering discipline in data governance, data quality, and data architecture committees, contributing to enterprise-level guidelines for our integrated data platform.
