Systems Engineer I

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is hiring Systems Engineer I to support programs for our US military and various international customers, keeping the world safe from foreign threats. We support multiple contracts and are seeking to fill roles across several open contracts – our goal is to align each new hire with a position that best suits their skills and allows for career growth. In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, development, and integration of products, from concept to production. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless system performance and deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

What You Will Do:

  • Integrate solutions within their target environment
  • Execute Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
  • Analyze and document system behaviors
  • Support system trade studies, requirements analysis, and allocation to subsystems
  • Work with your team to solve difficult problems

What You Will Learn:

  • How to operate successfully within a professional engineering environment
  • How to multi-modally communicate technical information to peers and stakeholders
  • Requirements analysis techniques for test implementation
  • How to organize and run test events
  • When to implement test automation and how to establish test automation best practices

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with communications and networking technologies
  • Experience with working in cross-discipline teams
  • Experience with developing requirements
  • Experience with developing SysML diagrams
  • Experience with scripting for analysis or build and test automation
  • A current active Secret (or higher) clearance
  • Familiarity with the Systems Engineering V – from CONOPS development to Sustainment
  • Familiarity with integration and testing including test procedures, test automation, test execution, and test reporting
  • Experience with and knowledge of Python and MATLAB scripting
  • Ability to receive tasking and regularly report on progress

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
