This position is for an Operations Technician that will support the Special Technologies Coating operations for OKC. The successful candidate will be part of a team expected to perform daily shop floor assignments in our plasma coating and water jet business units that achieve the performance and quality targets for the department. The position is responsible for following all EHS requirements and training and Ethic and Compliance requirements that will foster a safe work environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Produce exceptional product in accordance with STC's documented specifications, quality standards and established safety practices, utilize specialized equipment to support each step of the manufacturing process, and ensure exceptional product quality by minimizing product defects prior to and during the production process by performing quality assurance checks and measurements throughout production process
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP, Solumina and MS Office Products
  • Must be team-oriented and intentional with supporting a positive workplace culture
  • Safely operate small manual & electrical tools in a light-industrial environment and maintain accurate inventory of tooling, product and equipment for assigned work area and safely operate Power & Manual Industrial Equipment inside and outside the production center
  • Follow production schedule and ensure production targets are on track and achieved, collaborate with peers and management to ensure transparent and accurate communication flow down, track and report operational performance data to capture daily, weekly and monthly production output, support continuous improvement initiatives that will increase operational efficiency and improve product quality and participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on production strategies.
  • Demonstrate focused discipline and compliance with assigned work instructions, must be flexible to support various work assignments when assigned and maintain a clean and organized work area to 6s standards
  • Be willing to work overtime and be available for any shift assignment, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand and work for extended periods of time

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • 2+ years experience working in an operational environment: aerospace, warehousing or industrial production
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance - Security clearance for all supported programs will be required as a condition of employment. If selected, you must remain in position for 12 months after program clearance award date before applying to any other internal company position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Associates degree and/or military background
  • An active government Secret Clearance
  • Previous work experience with coating application processes and techniques
  • 2+ years of previous work experience with operating technical machinery
  • 2+ years experience reading and interpreting 2D drives, micrometers and calipers
  • 2+ years experience using fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions
