Senior Network Engineer

As a key member of the AGN Implementation team, you'll play a pivotal role in deploying, maintaining, and operating the ARINC Global Network. Your expertise in advanced networking concepts and technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and cloud-based solutions primarily on Cisco platforms, will drive the success of our network architecture.

What You Will Do:
- Manage multiple projects from start to finish
- Directly interfacing with customers and field technicians
- Order and activate WAN circuits; troubleshoot if necessary
- Coordinate with various internal and external departments to ensure circuit installation is complete
- Procure equipment per project requirements
- Configure Cisco routers and switches according to set design
- Coordinate shipping and/or export control (as required)
- Create cutover/migration plans
- Schedule and perform cutovers with customers
- Update documentation (change orders, asset records, circuit records and diagrams)
- Occasionally work evenings and weekends to accommodate global customer change windows
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Two years of experience with configuring Cisco routers and switches in a production WAN environment
- Experience building full working router configurations by using templates and guidelines by using CLI, templates, and guidelines
- Prior experience configuring BGP routing protocols
- Prior experience troubleshooting Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 of the OSI model and isolating network related problems
- Experience with all types of Network Address Translations (NAT)
- Experience with configuring Site-to-Site VPNs and DMVPN
- Experience with WAN technologies and protocols such as DSL, Cellular, MPLS, and DMVPN
Skills We Value:
- Previous experience implementing WAN connectivity
- Experience working with LTE cellular connectivity as backup
- Experience working in a large-scale WAN environment
- Experience working in a Service Provider environment
- Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco ASA firewalls
- Cisco Certified Network Profession (CCNP)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a face paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly
