The P&WC engine programs are powering 5 engine markets: Regional turboprop aircrafts, General aviation aircrafts, Business jets aircrafts, Helicopters and Auxiliary power systems on larger aircrafts, which help connecting people and economies around the world.

We're looking for an experienced Technical Specialists to drive Accessories reliability improvements in support of our product performance initiatives across all our engine markets, as well as a flawless entry-into-service for accessories on our new and derivative Programs.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours in Longueuil, and is exclusively on-site.

An Engine Controls & Accessories Technical Service Specialist (ECATS) is responsible of improving the Reliability of Engine Controls & Accessories in the aftermarket, by leading investigation of field event to drive root cause and preventive actions, and by proactively working with key P&WC suppliers to address any reliability issues. He is also responsible of supporting the EIS (Entry Into Service) of any new design through risk assessment, and lessons learned from the field.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Act as the Focal Point of Contact for Customer Engineering for a given Engine Program
  • Achieve an overall understanding of the Program Accessory reliability data (IFSD, Cat2, BUR, BUA, trends, major investigation/projects)
  • Establish clear priority to the Technical Specialist in the Team for the Programs Issues/Events
  • Prepare, and present the LRU reliability data to Program with recommendation on the top drivers
  • Act as the Screen Team Coordinator to determine the need for investigation for the reported field events
  • Lead effectively the investigation of LRU unplanned removal for root cause and corrective action plan
  • Review Supplier Reliability data, identify gaps to requirements, and establish action plan
  • Meet the target dates for CMM (Component Maintenance Manual) review, validation, and approval to achieve EIS readiness on time
  • Provide the required support to Engineering Changes (IPTs), Overhaul Shop, and Quality

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor degree with +8 years' experience
  • Master degree with +5 years' experience
  • Field of studies: Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Good technical, product knowledge (engines)
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Solid computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, ENOVIA PLM, SAP, Power BI, Microsoft CRM, etc.)

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
