In this role, you will be joining a team where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining ground station software.

What you will do:

• Develop and maintain satellite ground software.
• Support the writing of automated Cucumber/Gherkin tests.

What you will learn:

• Proven, legacy software architecture and technology for complex satellite ground systems.
• Reuse software baselines.
• Software lifecycle practices on defense projects.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with software development using C++ and Java.
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications we prefer:

• Experience with automated testing using Cucumber/Gherkin.
• Experience with Agile development.
• Experience with Atlassian Tools.

This software engineering position is onsite at our Aurora, CO location.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
