Software Engineer

At Collins Aerospace, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Displays software team in Cedar Rapids, IA. What You Will Do :

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug low-level software utilizing SoC peripherals to perform data exchange with discrete hardware via a bus such as I2C, SPI, or PCIe.
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug middleware and application software containing logical and mathematical algorithms.
  • Perform hardware and low-level software integration resolving issues around timing, signal slew rates, device configuration, power-on sequences, data synchronization, etc.
  • Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and function.
  • Coordinate with other project team members in the planning, design, development, and utilization of display systems to ensure smooth operations on software engineering activities.
  • Ensure compliance with program and product requirements and certification processes.

Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree.
  • Well organized and demonstrated excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong communication skills for effective communication to various audiences.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Embedded C++ or Platform Level Software Experience.
  • Experience with avionics display systems and safety-critical software development.
  • Familiarity with RTOS environments and low-level software integration.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
