Senior Supervisor, Industrial Engineering

We are looking for a Senior Supervisor, Industrial Engineering, to lead a team in an Aerospace Manufacturing Operation at our Fairfield, CA site.

As an employee at Collins Aerospace-Fairfield, Safety is an expectation. Employees are expected to work safely, follow all safety rules, requirements, procedures, and instructions always. You are expected to actively participate in the safety program and be mindful of your safety and the safety of others. You are expected to complete all safety training in a timely manner.

What You Will Do

  • Leads a team of primarily entry and intermediate professionals or team leaders of Technical / Business Support. Sets day-to-day goals and objectives for team members.
  • Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient and optimized sequence of operations and workflow.
  • Conducts Production/Manufacturing Capacity Analysis/Planning.
  • Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routes.
  • Plan the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • Experience leading a team of Industrial, Manufacturing engineers or similar discipline
  • Experience leading or participating in Value Stream Mapping Events/ Kaizen events
  • Production/Manufacturing Capacity Analysis/Planning
  • Experience with LEAN Principles / 8 Manufacturing Wastes
  • Experience calculating Takt Time, Utilization, Productivity and performing complex Time Studies

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Capital Expenditure Projects
  • Experience Line Balancing
  • Experience working in a High-Mix product Manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma certification (green belt or higher)
  • Experience with JIRA (Atlassian tool)
  • Experience Running Production Manufacturing Simulations
  • AGILE framework task management and project planning
  • SAP / ERP Experience
  • Experience Designing Layouts in AutoCAD
  • PowerBI

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
