We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to assist with management and coordination of fleet management activities. This person will interface directly and indirectly with airline customers and various Collins teams, including leadership, ensuring exceptional customer service.

This position works in a primarily onsite capacity.

Relocation assistance maybe available.

What You Will Do

  • Drive execution of fleet support plans for field problem management
  • Calculate actual finding rates and perform predictive analysis to support investigations and technical safety reviews
  • Based on fleet performance, field issues, and predictive analysis drive recommendations to the business in SIOP for parts provisioning, asset needs, and capacity risks
  • Partner with Airline Support Managers to present key AD and retrofits fleet support plans to operators in preparation for Service Bulletin releases.
  • Coordinate with OEM, MRO, and operator personnel to track and report status
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external teams
  • Support customer and MRO visits as required
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and develop job related standard process / job instructions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Experience with reliability analysis and predictive risk management
  • Experience with database creation and/ or management

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally, when required
  • Able to create and present senior level presentations
  • Possess Nacelle / Engine component knowledge
  • Familiarity with SAP / ERM software
  • Familiarity with Teamcenter, SharePoint
  • Proficient in Excel, Power BI, Tableau or other data analytical software
  • Experience with CRM software: MS Dynamic or other
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experienced with strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
