Networking Solutions Engineer
The ARINC GLOBAL Network (AGN) system spans private data centers around the world, providing aviation, airport, government, and transportation customers with highly reliable, secure, and available connectivity. At Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, you will help design, develop, and sustain mission-critical networking solutions that support global aviation and transportation operations.
What YOU will do:
- Design, develop, test, and evaluate networking solutions for the ARINC GLOBAL Network.
- Configure and implement Cisco-based routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions.
- Apply cybersecurity practices to network designs to ensure secure and resilient services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create technical design solutions and supporting documentation.
- Provide troubleshooting and post-deployment support across multi-routing network infrastructures.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Strong Cisco networking skills, with experience in LAN/WAN, routing (BGP, OSPF), switching (VLANs, STP, 802.1Q), and VPN configuration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, and OSI model fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting with tools such as Wireshark and TCPDUMP, and configuring SPAN/monitor sessions.
- Background in building or supporting highly available, low-latency, and secure network infrastructures.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Active certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA, or PCNSE.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Knowledge of SIP/VoIP technologies, QOS, and voice network design.
- Understanding of airport, aviation, or air transport industry network requirements.
- Experience designing or supporting RF communications, tunneling/encapsulation, and large-scale network operations.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
