Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Ops

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Ops! You will participate in the design and arrangement of machines and sequence of operations and check that mandatory modifications are incorporated to ensure legal compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Participates in the design and arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure more efficient and productive layout.
  • Support production operations metrics for safety, quality, delivery, and cost by proactively promoting and executing continuous improvement projects.
  • Design and development of new or revised manufacturing processes.
  • May propose product design changes based on manufacturing feasibility.
  • Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables.
  • Troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
  • Determines Total Productive Maintenance and repair materials required for machines and equipment.
  • May make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
  • Train other team members on internal processes.
  • Execute strategic business process improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Laser welding experience.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience.
  • Application Programming Interface (API) experience.
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Testing and inspection techniques.
  • Experience with packaging and/or logistics.
  • Solid interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and influence at all levels within an organization.
  • Solid presentation skills - able to analyze, prepare, and deliver presentations to leadership.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
