Raytheon is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer, in support of the Global ISR Sensors and Software business. You will manage supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of non-conforming material. Manage/Support supplier qualification/certification.
*This position will be located ONSITE at our Westford, MA facility.
*Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You Will Do
- Oversee supplier quality activities, including qualifications, certifications, source inspections, material releases, and FAI verification.
- Manage non conforming material, escape management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions to improve supplier performance.
- Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues and drive improvements using PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow/Control Plans, SPC, and related tools.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve quality issues, ensure contract requirements (including PPAP) are met, and support factory acceptance testing.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, support ad hoc tasks, and travel domestically up to 25% as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience with GD&T (ASME 14.5)
- Experience working with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS9102.
- Experience conducting failure analysis and root cause analysis, as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Experience reviewing technical data packages (TDPs) and managing documentation within a document repository.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in machining processes
- In-depth understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
