Front Line Leader Professional In Manufacturing Operations

This position is for a 1st shift Front Line Leader professional in Manufacturing Operations, who works independently, monitors manufacturing operations by analyzing cell performance and productivity. The successful candidate should be driven, organized, collaborative, and adaptable. Coordinates scheduling activities and sequencing of work. Works across operations disciplines and support groups.
The team leader will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating status on work and is empowered to escalate and clear barriers to progress. In this role, the team leader will balance hands on work inside the factory environment and communication outside of the factory. The team leader develops procedures for economic mass production in cooperation with engineering and production departments. Reviews support requirements and recommend tools and procedure processes. May make recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials. Oversee production operations of shop floor management, workforce management, supports leadership in enforcing policies for safety equipment and housekeeping, and the primary trainer to train second shift technicians. Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function.
This position is for an on-site, Monday - Friday, 1st shift, schedule hours with working hours between 6:30am – 3:30pm.
What Will You Do:
- Lead assemblers and test technicians across multiple production cells
- Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
- Coach and review the work of area technicians. Collect status and barriers to enable effective shift handoffs and communication to factory supervision.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput in work cells.
- Provide team leadership and model behaviors including adherence to policies and factory rules, timely completion of required training, and attention to detail
- Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate scheduling activities to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.
- Manage sequencing of work, such as build, processing time and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.
- Execute onboarding, training, security compliance, and timecard management effectively
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
- Experience with Manufacturing and/or Operations supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience with information technology systems (SAP)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with leveraging analysis on cell performance and productivity to maximize yields.
- Experience with engineering, supply chain, and quality to meet schedule and delivery milestones

- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing
- Experience working in factory operations.
