Our Military Engines Customer Support Engineering team is part of the military engine sustainment organization and is based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will interface with the depot production operations team for the maintenance, overhaul, repair, and remanufacture of F117, F119, and F135 engines, with an initial focus on the F135 engine.

What You Will Do:

  • Manufacturing blueprint analysis.
  • Developing item repair strategies.
  • Reviewing and interpreting technical data.
  • Authoring technical dispositions and SAP EQN System dispositions.
  • Participating in lean manufacturing initiatives to support continuous process improvement.
  • Coordinating with engine fleet management programs.
  • Providing technical support for hardware field issues.
  • Preparing technical presentations and fostering cross-organizational communication.
  • Developing and creating standard work for processes and procedures.
  • Developing databases and process matrices.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with experience in the aerospace industry and 2+ years of total professional work experience to include:
  • 1+ years of experience authoring technical documents and
  • 1+ years of experience in a role responsible for resolving technical issues; or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Ability to review and understand technical concepts related to jet engine hardware performance and life cycle durability.
  • Familiarity with prints, Team Center, Webtop, and/or similar systems, as well as SAP.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organizational, time management skills, and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine engine operating theory, value stream mapping, standard operating procedures, root-cause analysis, and mistake-proofing.
  • Previous experience with military jet engine logistics, repairs, maintenance, or A&P Mechanic certification is preferred.

The salary range for this role is $66,000 - $130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
