Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio, and expertise to solve customers' toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.

We're looking for an entry-level Project Engineer eager to contribute to the success of exciting engineering projects. In this role, you'll support key project activities—organizing data, preparing and maintaining progress reports, and developing recommendations that drive project efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, help monitor milestones, and proactively identify and escalate issues to keep projects on track. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in project engineering while growing your technical and leadership skills.

What You Will Do

  • Create and maintain project plans for assigned projects/programs with guidance from Sr Engineer, Supervisor or Project Manager.
  • Track daily progress of all project tasks to ensure on time delivery to commitment.
  • Coordinate required activities with all other functional areas maintaining a single source of priorities with the other project engineers (e.g. machine shop, facilities, operations).
  • Own change management for assigned projects/programs including revising and documenting Deviations, CDRs, and CRs.
  • Schedule / lead project meetings with other team members and functional areas, as needed, to provide status and align priorities.
  • Participate on Operations Tier Meetings, as needed, to communicate priorities or support required for projects.
  • Collect production readiness evidence including but not limited to SMT program status, stencils designs, tooling/fixtures documents, material complete analysis, thermal profiling, etc.
  • Submit eCARs and WBS requests for post award efforts as required.
  • Identify and resolve risks/roadblocks, with some higher-level guidance, to minimize impact to project schedules.
  • Communicate and escalate risks or support required during the project phases.
  • Identify and propose mistake proofing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Participate in Project/Program's meetings as required.
  • Keep effective and clear communication with Programs.
  • Engage and seek approval/guidance from Producibility Engineer for deviations, CRs, CDRs, and any product or process change.
  • Track project constraints (scope, time, cost, and quality) and develop plans to keep them in balance.
  • Work closely with the NPI team members and other functional areas to ensure applicable requirements are met and a smooth transition to production release.
  • Ensure safety precautions are followed on all projects and daily activities.
  • Implement and maintain 5S methodology on office areas.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

What We Offer

Some of our competitive benefits package includes:
