Industrial Or Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an emerging Industrial or Mechanical Engineer to apply engineering principles on manufacturing issues with our Avionics New Product Introduction team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Joining the New Product Introduction team presents the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll gain experience in many different areas.

What you will do:

• Transition new products from development to full rate manufacturing
• Design tooling to aid in the manufacturing process
• Selection, justification, and purchase of equipment
• Resolution of process, ergonomic, and safety issues
• Program and operate automated machinery, supporting Industry 4.0

What you will learn:

• How to apply engineering theory to practical applications
• Lifecycle value stream of products; from initial concept to final delivery and beyond

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
• Experience with 3D modeling software

Qualifications we prefer:

• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks
