What You Will Do

This position is for a Repair Design Summer Internship in the Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE) organization. ASE develops innovative repair solutions for all P&W Commercial and Military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Part of a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team [PT] to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured (OEM) parts.
  • Assist in managing task budget and schedule in accordance with program negotiated deliverables
  • Assist in the preparation and presenting task status and technical content to Internal and External Customers as required.
  • Monitor progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations
  • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, communication, interpersonal & analytical skills.
