This role offers the opportunity to work on many aspects of a program, from long term strategy to solving urgent issues. Ability to work with and lead others is essential, as are communication skills as you will work with people at every level in the organization to achieve results.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, in Longueuil, and is exclusively on-site.
Manage projects and project timelines, driving collaboration across organizations, and execute actions to bring projects to closure.
Actively participate within IPTs (Integrated Project Teams) to ensure seamless transition of new models or engineering changes into production. Must ensure MRP (scheduling), sourcing, capacity, lead time, tooling, product cost, appropriate clearances and logistics meet program objectives.
Understand specific program issues and risks, develop strategies to meet program objectives or resume production, assess requirements for risk hardware procurement and recommend solutions to resolve specific issues, while minimizing risk of building excess inventory. Coordinate and decide on actions to resolve supply issues.
Negotiate and liaise with Marketing, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, MED (Manufacturing Engineering Development) and Aftermarket to achieve requirements and obtain buy-in for strategies and delivery dates.
Provide program status reports to the OPM manager, directors and marketing as required along with recommendations. Escalate issues as required to achieve resolution. Support senior leadership in communicating Operations issues with customers.
Implement timely new program sourcing and FSC objectives, exploring alternative opportunities with sound business cases.
Establish tooling strategies and business cases for assigned programs, execute expenditures to plan for Engineering and Start-up budgets.
Coordinate the different Operations business units in support of OEM Upgrade programs, short ships, returns, campaigns, etc. to fix or alleviate consequences of issues to customers.
Produce or coordinate production or estimates and evaluations to support marketing inquiries (SSEQs) and proposal inquiries.
Engage directly with OEM to answer engine production and delivery related questions providing clear plans, offering timely solutions and clarifying expectations.
Review and manage impacts of Engineering Changes, Red Flag Notices and escapes.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an Engineering or Operations Management discipline + 7 or more years of work experience.
Experience working in a P&WC Operations or supply chain business unit is preferred.
Knowledge of SAP and PLM.
Ability to solve difficult and complex problems, communicate clearly and lead projects. PMP accreditation is an asset.
This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
