P&W is seeking an experienced fleet representative to support the F135 Propulsion team within the Lightning Sustainment Center (LSC) Global Operations Center (GOC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The F-35/F135 program is growing by 100 aircraft a year, and the individual hired into this position will have significant exposure to how such an extensive military aviation program is sustained! This job is on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. It will require a self-sufficient individual who can solicit help from the field, handle themselves in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and ultimately make program decisions.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as the propulsion representative for F135 Fleet issues, status, and actions within the GOC and be a conduit between internal and external customers, including Sustaining Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Field Operations, and others as needed.
  • Focus on improving the overall F135 Availability while ensuring all NMC aircraft propulsion status is communicated to leadership and acts as the main conduit of emerging data and issues to/from the F135 Fleet Management Center.
  • Maintain status documentation, actively track and provide Action Request (AR) status updates, support/host daily meetings, review fleet issues, and provide appropriate updates to leadership.
  • You will keep the GOC processes current and implement best practices while using initiative and judgment to identify problems, assist with investigations to determine root causes, and execute corrective actions.
  • Actively support Continuous Improvement initiatives creating standard work, value stream mapping, processing, and more.
  • Ensure employee safety by complying with Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) activities.
  • The GOC is a 24/7/365 operation, and the candidate may be required to work different shifts, days, and remotely as needed. Workdays will include weekdays, weekends, and holidays; additionally, casual overtime will be necessary.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BA/BS degree in related Aviation management/engineering/technical/logistics field required with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. An Associate's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or 9+ total years of relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Customer Support Experience.
  • Experience in using MS Office Suite, specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced abilities in data analytics and MS Office Suite.
  • Familiar with the F135 propulsion system.
  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure, fast-paced military HQ or operations center environment.
  • Possess excellent presentation skills with experience briefing at the executive level (General/Flag Officer and Government/Industry equivalents).

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
