Engineering Site Technician

The Engineering Site Technician will be a part of a team testing ejection seats and other aerospace and defense technologies at a supersonic rocket track. This individual will support the test team with the wide variety of tasks needed for these operations. Tasks will include handling energetic materials in preparation for various types of testing.
What You Will Do
- Handling and testing rocket motors
- Handling, installing, arming and removing Cartridge Actuated Devices/Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD) from test configurations
- Deploying and maintaining test track hardware
- Performing post-test parachute condition evaluation and reporting
- Providing support for various maintenance and site improvement projects
- Support building, maintaining and upgrading test equipment and fixtures
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Basic office computer software experience / knowledge
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
- Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced engineering environment
What We Prefer
- Experience welding and fabricating parts and fixtures
- Experience machining parts on older manual tools (mill, lathe, etc.)
- Experience with energetic materials such as CAD/PAD, rockets, and/or explosives
- Experience working in R&D, test environments, ejection seats or parachutes
