The Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) Engine Design & System Integration (EDSI) team is frontline keeping the legacy commercial and military transport/tanker fleets flying safely. EDSI MCE system engineer prime mission is to ensure fleet wide safety, reliability, maintainability while driving a profitable business result. You will join a team supporting the following P&W products PW2000, PW4000, V2500.

What you will do:

  • Perform system-level performance and operability analysis utilizing engine, aircraft data and engine simulation
  • Provide propulsion system issue resolution support to the airline customers through P&W representatives/fleet chief/customer technical service
  • Ensure timely delivery of P&W production and overhaul repair engines when system level issues arise. Includes proactive trend monitoring

What you will learn:

  • This position is a part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Experience with NPSS & Python
  • Experience in successfully meeting established deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to detail, as evidenced by accurately completing tasks with minimal errors
  • Proven interest in understanding the functionality of complex systems, such as aviation and airline operations, through prior projects, coursework, or professional experience
  • Experience and understanding of aircraft and gas turbine operations

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
