This position is for a motivated Electrical or Computer engineering candidate to be involved in the design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high-performance digital ASICs and FPGAs applied to signal processing and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Product Enabling Technologies team.

What You Will Do:

  • Support requirements capture and ASIC / FPGA digital architecture.
  • Implement ASIC / FPGA digital design using RTL.
  • Support verification and system integration of ASIC / FPGA implementations.
  • Work with an experienced team to learn best practices and Collins' engineering processes for implementing world class ASIC / FPGA solutions.
  • Work with cutting edge technologies developed both in house and by external vendors.
  • Learn how ASICs and FPGAs are used to implement solutions utilized in communications, security, and space-based products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, team with engineers of a variety of skills and backgrounds, and matrix into projects with aggressive schedules and frequent milestones.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to document and present one's work and status.
  • Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using hardware schematics, integrated FPGA vendor debug tools, and digital lab equipment.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (e.g. Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado or other FPGA-specific tools).
  • Digital circuit architecture and resource tradeoffs.
  • Some background in signal processing and/or information assurance.
  • Familiarity with the signal processing system simulation & analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink).
  • Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (e.g. Git, Subversion).

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
