Associate Director- Factory Operations Manager

Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director, Factory Operations Manager, for the California Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CaCMC) to join the Execution Operations leadership team. In this role you will be responsible for leadership and talent development opportunities to an organization of > 150 employees across multiple functions including Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain while maintaining a safe work environment for all CaCMC employees and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.

The Factory Operations Manager will provide cross-functional leadership of the multi-disciplined CaCMC team to include the coordination of manufacturing resources and strategy required to support ongoing operations for cost, quality and schedule, ensuring operational excellence across the manufacturing process from planning through production, shipment and customer support. This role is expected to champion Enterprise Collaboration by bringing best in class solutions that deliver innovative manufacturing and advanced capabilities that create sustained growth while driving affordability.

The candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour work week.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for system integration and test for all Raytheon Surveillance major end items.
  • Partner closely with the programs and customers to ensure alignment and accountability at all levels.
  • Work in a fast paced, customer/program driven environment and is a key enabler leading strategic growth with regular interactions with senior leaders across Raytheon Operations and other functions.
  • As a member of the Raytheon Surveillance Operations extended leadership team working cohesively with the other directorates within Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Handling performance management activities, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, and employee training and/or talent development while managing employees and employee relations issues within varying levels of the Organization.
  • Collaborating and building strong cross-functional teams gained from leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, program management or similar for a complex product domain, high-technology or large corporate environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and 10 years of experience
  • Management experience in a Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and/or Production environment is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior experience leading in a DoD manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing a collective bargaining workforce
  • Experience utilizing SAP, shop floor data systems and other business systems
  • Experience with Six-Sigma / CORE and lean manufacturing processes
  • Excellent organizational, customer service, communication, presentation, and team building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to present to senior leadership
  • Ability to execute against tight deadlines
  • Understanding of Raytheon product structures and product technical details
  • Financial performance / cost reduction
  • A great team builder with the ability to communicate clear expectations and influence teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines
  • Active/Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is $162,000 - $326,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
