Logic Design Engineer

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional Logic Design Engineer to join our Buffer Chip team in Morrisville, NC. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

As a Logic Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the development and verification of digital subsystems, analog models, as well as timing and performance analysis, to support product development. In this full-time role, you'll report directly to our Director of Logic Design.

Your contributions will be instrumental to the success of the MDB buffer chip product line.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Verification development supporting digital and mixed-signal simulation environments
  • Timing analysis, path optimization, and reporting
  • Logic design, code analysis, and constraint development
  • Tool flow development and automation

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Coursework: ASIC and FPGA Design, Design Verification, Physical Design, Tape-Out, VLSI System Design, Computer Architecture
  • High aptitude with designing hierarchical Verilog/SystemVerilog logic.
  • Knowledge of verification techniques and testbench construction for complex Verilog and SystemVerilog designs.
  • Familiarity with Analog modeling and cosimulation methodologies
  • Experience with automation using one or more of the following scripting languages:
    • Python
    • TCL
    • Perl
    • Shell
    • Make
