Job Description

Geotechnical Engineer

Work Location: Gurgaon

We invite you to bring your Geotechnics into play as you coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project. To succeed in this role you must have B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering from premier colleges IITs/NITs/DTU. You will join our REC Ground Engineering Department

As our new Senior Geotechnical Engineer for REC RUK Ground Engineering team, you will be part of our world class innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is highly sophisticated centre of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally REC is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions for UK based projects.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Interpretations of Geotechnical Investigation Reports and use of appropriate geotechnical design parameters.
• Ground improvement – CMC, PVD, Stone columns etc.
• Soil structural Interaction Analysis Modelling and Validation.
• Slope stability analysis and Support system design.
• Ground movement, Settlement Prediction and risk assessments for Urban structures.
• Instrumentation and Monitoring scheme proposals and data reviewing.
• Prepare Geotechnical/geological design specifications and design criteria.
• Sheet piles, Combi walls, Secant pile and other retaining system.

• Must possess hands on design experience included in heavy civil structures foundation, Ground improvement, Marine, Earth retention system.
• Experience in Geo-seismic hazard analysis, seismic risk assessment, or a related field.
• Experience with the European design code (Euro codes/British Codes) will be added advantage.
• Candidates having experience in working with Multinational Companies/Overseas will be preferred.
• Proficiency in Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, WALLAP, GeoStudio.
• Knowledge of Python scripting/Automation is big plus.
• Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project.
