You will be involved in some of the UK's most innovative and intricate projects. Building Services is about taking buildings from an empty shell to a comfortable, functional, efficient and safe space. As a graduate electrical engineer at Ramboll, you will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems such as power, lighting, fire systems and security. You will also develop a rich understanding of building physics and sustainable design solutions that will inform the building service engineering design principles.

You will become a part of the Buildings department, which includes Building Services, Structures, Civil, Facades, Acoustics and many more specialist teams. Your role will allow you to collaborate with all disciplines, providing growth and knowledge to enhance your engineering competence.

We are looking for Graduate Electrical Engineers in the following areas: High Rise. Our roles are available in the following locations: London.

You will get:

  • To work on real engineering projects from day one – contribute to the design of power, lighting, and control systems that are actually built and used in real developments.
  • Hands-on experience with industry tools – develop practical skills using software like AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP while producing real design documentation.
  • Strong exposure to site and construction environments – attend site visits, surveys, testing, and commissioning to see how designs become real installations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams – work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors on fully coordinated building projects.
  • Structured learning and career development – gain mentorship from senior engineers, build technical knowledge, and grow toward chartered engineer status

Your skills and experience:

  • A BEng, MEng or MSc level degree in a relevant Electrical Engineering subject
  • Interest in the design of Building Services, especially electrical systems
  • An active curiosity around building physics and sustainable design solutions
  • Demonstrable aptitude to learn computer programming languages and complex data manipulation and processing
  • Ability to summarise and present complex engineering concepts via different channels
  • An interest in Digital Automation and Optimisation
