Partner Sales Department Job

Rakuten Mobile is currently focusing heavily on its corporate business, and within that, the Partner Sales Department is responsible for creating and expanding business through partners (MVNOs or sales agencies). Based on Rakuten Mobile's uniquely innovative technological foundation, we lead the transformation of the telecommunications industry.

Our department is responsible for designing services, building operations, and creating sales support mechanisms for reselling Rakuten Mobile's communication lines to corporate partners such as MVNOs.

From planning resale-related services and pricing, to establishing operational procedures, and creating sales support mechanisms, our role is to comprehensively support the underlying systems so that partners can deploy communication services under their own brands.

By being responsible for everything from planning resale schemes to optimizing business operations and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, you can acquire essential and practical skills required for a planning role, such as business planning, project promotion, business design, and negotiation skills, in addition to knowledge of the telecommunications industry. Furthermore, our department is attractive for its diverse members and its open and flexible environment.

Job Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for various planning and operational tasks related to reselling Rakuten Mobile's communication lines to MVNO corporate partners (e.g., MVNOs).

Specifically, you will be entrusted with the following tasks:

  • Plan and design resale schemes and service content for MVNOs.
  • Design systems for pricing and terms and conditions, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Construct and improve business flows with partner companies (e.g., application, activation, billing).
  • Design and promote the operation of sales support measures and sales management mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with related departments such as technology, legal, accounting, and customer support to establish a smooth service provision system.

Through daily work, you will gain a practical understanding of the structure of the telecommunications business and acquire planning, business design, coordination, and business promotion skills.

  • Work experience in the telecommunications industry, especially with MVNOs or MNOs (planning, sales, back office, etc.)
  • Experience in planning and operating B2B services
  • Experience in corporate sales support or partner alliance
  • Ability to create documents and analyze data using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Practical experience in project management
