We do this through the planning and operation of settlement mechanisms (platforms), managing billing and payments, and designing new services. You will be broadly responsible for billing and payment-related operations for merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, as outlined below.

  • Billing and Payment Operations - Collection and management of billing and payment data - Operation of the electronic document (invoice/payment notice) disclosure system
  • Building Billing and Payment Operations for New Services to Business Partners - Gathering requirements for new services and coordination with relevant departments - Building billing and payment operations
  • Accounts Receivable Collection Operations - Management of billed amounts and due dates - Management of uncollected amounts
  • Financial Status Verification - Monitoring the financial status of Rakuten Ichiba merchants *Initially, you will work with team members to handle each operational task to deepen your understanding before taking charge of the above duties.

Organizational Structure - Contract Management Department: 37 members, Accounts Receivable & Payable Management Section: 8 members - Age Demographics: Primarily 30s and 40s - New Graduate vs. Mid-Career Hire Ratio: 40% new graduates, 60% mid-career hires

Backgrounds of Mid-Career Hires Construction industry, bridal-related, system vendors, etc. Examples of Career Paths for Successful Mid-Career Hires Active as a Group Manager within a few years of joining the company.

Mandatory Qualifications: Experience in any of the following tasks: - Billing or payment operations for business partners - Accounts receivable collection operations - Financial status analysis operations

Desired Qualifications: - Experience in financial institutions, auditing firms, or the accounting/finance departments of operating companies. - Experience in creating documents and aggregating data using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel) (to the extent of being able to use common functions) for 3 years or more. - Experience in improving operational processes or building new operational processes. - Experience in using ERP systems (SAP). - Experience in defining business requirements and creating business flows. - Knowledge of debt collection, bankruptcy law, civil law, etc. - Ability to read financial statements. - Knowledge equivalent to Bookkeeping Level 3 (Boki 3-kyu). - Experience using BI tools. - Leadership experience.
