Your challenge

The Food and Beverage Manager is a versatile and committed leader who ensures that high-quality service and products are provided to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. They are responsible for forecasting, planning, and managing catering orders, staff, and finances. Their strengths lie in building a dynamic team focused on customer service and maintaining a positive and safe work environment. This position reports to the General Manager of the Regional Memorial Civic Centre and has authority over all activities within the food and beverage service.

How will you make a difference?

You will make a difference by organizing, leading, and evaluating the food and beverage service. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and monitoring staff performance, providing feedback, scheduling, and managing purchases, inventory, revenues, and expenses. Additionally, you will participate in budget preparation and ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations. You will negotiate agreements with suppliers for food and beverage products and with clients for the use of facilities for dining, parties, banquets, etc. Moreover, you will be in charge of renewing facility licenses, ensuring proper maintenance of facilities and catering equipment, and managing software related to food and beverage, billing systems, and payment processing. Handling customer complaints promptly and professionally, performing office tasks, writing reports related to food and beverage service, and completing other related duties as assigned will also be part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

You communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in Canada's two official languages, and ideally hold a post-secondary degree in a related field, or a combination of relevant experience and education.
