Telephone Account Manager

This is a great opportunity to join a growing, highly motivated distribution team supporting the Head of South and wider Quilter Cheviot Distribution Team. This is an exciting position for a candidate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and sales acumen, who has an appetite to learn, perhaps with aspirations for career growth within the sales team. The Telephone Account Manager position will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to develop a new role within the Quilter Cheviot sales team which will be critical to our successful engagement with regional advice firms, national financial planning firms, networks and other strategic partners. There will be a requirement to gain level 4 industry qualifications if not already held.

Reporting to Head of Sales - South, the role holder will be working with the QC Business Development Team, supporting them with many aspects of the sales process as well as developing a panel of advisers to develop and service remotely.

Key Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • To support the Head of South - Sales in building relationships with advisers from key adviser firms including National and Network Firms
  • To collate data from various providers and internal sources to create and execute a contact strategy to build relationships from non-supporting financial advisers.
  • To create and execute a contact strategy for both non supporting and supporting advisers to maximize opportunities that have been identified.
  • To work with the Business Development Managers to maximize opportunities within the regions.
  • To gain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services and the circumstances in which they may be appropriate for existing and potential clients and promote these to advisers.
  • To collate information on the financial advisers from various sources available to Quilter Cheviot, and to support the distribution team in building and maintaining panels
  • To attend National distribution team meetings and provide a summary of any action points.
  • To research market and competitor information which would be useful to the distribution team on given topics.
  • To own and edit content on the Distribution Intranet (Sharepoint) and Training (Degreed) web pages on National & Network firms.
  • Work towards the proactive management of an approved adviser list to gain an industry Level 4 Diploma

This role is for a self-motivated candidate who is either already successful in a similar role or someone that wants to move into a sales position, having previously gained some industry experience in a business with a comparable proposition. For the right person the role provides the opportunity for career progression by developing to become a Business Development Manager, servicing the financial adviser market, if this is of interest.

The role-holder will be required to manage their own workload and work closely with all members of the distribution team and colleagues across the regions when appropriate.

It is expected that the successful candidate will already have or be enthusiastic about developing, with Quilter Cheviot's support, significant skills and expertise delivering remote sales presentations to financial advisers across the UK.

Holiday: 182 hours (26 days)
