Job Requirements

Basic role requirements:

10+ year experience on mobile performance and power profiling

Hands-on experience in lab experiment and EVB board (oscilloscope, HMM, kibble cards, power analyzer, etc) Proficient on Python and shell scripts

Expert on profiling tools such as Perfetto, ftrace, ATrace, etc.

Expert SoC subsystem such as CPU / GPU / DSP / memory power and performance characterization

Experience in high-speed wired, wireless, and networking performance & power characterization

Preferred qualifications:

Previous experience with silicon design / validation

Master's Degree

Hands-on lab experience with measuring tools

Work Experience

(A) Power Profiling Services, including but not limited to:

(1) Bringing up rapid prototyping and demoing the feature on the target platform.

(2) Developing and maintaining test plans and procedures for the power characterization of each component and/or block.

(3) Measuring and characterizing the component and/or block power over different operation modes, efficiency, and thermal performance.

(4) Measuring and characterizing WLs, algos, and end to end use case power.

(5) Analyzing power measurement results and identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.

(6) Automating component / subsystem / WLs / algo power profiling scripts for reporting and tracking measurement of results and conditions.

(7) Building end to end power profiling scripts for analysis.

(8) Contributing use case power models to project new use cases.
