What You Will Do:

• Resolve controls software related issues that are both coming from testing and field or production.
• Provide technical recommendations based on engineering expertise and interpretation of test results and analysis.
• Provide application support for any engineering software release issues.
• Collaborate with different systems engineering teams and provide the needed software support to meet sub-system requirements.
• Identify engine control requirements and document them in DOORS and Magic Draw (requirement management tool) module for various Wabtec customers.
• Interface with systems engineers, test engineers, and different stakeholders of Wabtec Locomotive Controls Software products.
• Design and develop efficient and effective engine control system models using MATLAB Simulink.
• Develop test plan and procedures for engine control system models and document them in DOORS.
• Test engine control system model changes using software in loop, hardware in loop, or locomotive assets.
• Perform FMEA and DFMEA for newly developed software designs on multiple engine platforms.

What You Will Bring:

• Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position.
• Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of MATLAB; SIMULINK; DOORs; Magic Draw; Perforce; FMEA, DFMEA; PID Controllers, safe operating procedures for electrical & electronic components; control system development for embedded hardware systems; Validation and Integration Testing; System and Subsystem technical Requirements Development.
• Required knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master's degree.

Pay Range: $100,000 to $115,000 per year

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Windsor, CT. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Travel requirements: Travel to unanticipated client locations, throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required.
