Compliance Specialist

To study the Transactional compliance plan for every project and document the list of applicable regulations and standards. Preparation of compliance documents for specific projects with a list of impacted items from the TRS matrix. Work with suppliers to ensure that the parts/assemblies manufactured by them meet the compliance requirement of the project. Collect and compile the documents/certificates for the project and upload to the central repository. Work with the design team on a regular basis and initiate improvement actions. Adopt the best practices from other businesses and incorporate. Schedule meetings with other teams to ensure compliance is met.

BE/ME in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 5-12 years of experience in product compliance with various product regulatory or certification agencies. Should have knowledge about the necessity of international certifications like IEC, IECEx, etc and other country regulatory certification like CSA, UL, TUV, Intertek, CE marking, etc. Basic knowledge in the various directives for the EU requirements for the CE marking. Should have basic design knowledge in power equipment like steam turbine, generator and its accessories. Basic knowledge on Low Voltage Directive, EMI/EMC, Machinery Safety Directives (MD) and PED (Pressure Equipment Directives). Should have knowledge about the energy efficiency requirements for the various products and the corresponding labeling & standard requirements existing in different parts of the world. Perform hazardous area map calculations for gas turbines, steam turbines, generator accessories. Should have basic knowledge in understanding the engineering documents and drawings. Overall knowledge of various sectors like product safety, energy efficiency and other material requirements like REACH, RoHS and WEEE directives. Worked in MS Office under Windows environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Excellent organization and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work in team in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
