Engineering Lab Technician

As an Engineering Lab Technician, you will play a hands-on role in assembling mechanical and electrical modules, conducting functional tests, and supporting troubleshooting activities. You will also help maintain lab readiness and ensure smooth operations in a cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical modules according to engineering specifications.
  • Conduct concept validation, perform functional tests, and document results.
  • Perform rework, repairs, and adjustments to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage raw material inventory, including receiving, storage, and distribution.
  • Maintain a clean, organized lab environment and ensure tools are calibrated and ready for use.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) responsibly.
  • Support cleanroom operations (Class 10k, light gowning: cap, shoe covers, lab coat, surgical mask).

Work Experience

  • Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in module assembly and testing.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and rework processes.
  • Ability to use power tools, measurement instruments, and calibration equipment.
  • Experience/familiarity with mechanical 3D CAD and data management (Bills of Material, part databases).
  • Practical experience with wire harnessing, crimping, and routing is an advantage.
