What You Will Do:
- Develop solutions to meet customer needs for instrumentation and electrical equipment on the generator (instrumentation, cabling, wiring diagrams, control hardware, and packaging tasks).
- Collaborate across larger systems / product teams to develop integrated mechanical/power/performance/structural simulation, experimental technologies, and solutions.
- Selection of equipment, installation design, integration with power plant, and code compliance of finished electrical systems.
- Control hardware and instrumentation related tasks for stator rewinds.
- Creation of drawings and bills of materials with support of drafting team.
- Ensure code compliance, particularly IEC 60079 and NEC 500-505.
- Utilize software like PLM, AVEVA, ClearOrbit, PowerNow, and create change issues.
What You Will Bring:
- BS or MS in Electrical/Controls/Instrumentation Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in Generator electrical components and/or Power generation.
- Experience in instrumentation, cabling, wiring diagrams, and control hardware.
- Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards such as NFPA/ANSI/UL/CE is essential.
Pay Range: $70K to $90K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
The work location is Schenectady, NY (no remote option)
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
