Co - op Student - Tranmission Line Engineer

Position Overview

Power Your Future with Qualus in our T&D Canada business as an Co-Op Student- Transmission Line Engineer. Reporting to the Transmission Department Manager, this position will be in our Vancouver, BC office. Responsibilities

1. Learning and understanding work process flows as well as engineering protocols.
2. Supporting Senior Engineers in preparation of reports; including, related engineering calculations.
3. Carrying out design activities under the supervision and guidance of senior Engineers.
4. Assisting more experienced technical Engineers with specific aspects of project work.
5. Providing support to as well as developing and establishing communication with internal team to ensure that work flows smoothly.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of at least first year of an undergraduate degree program in Electrical or Structural Engineering.
• Experience and knowledge of engineering design packages such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Google Earth, Visual Basic, or XML.

The expected compensation range for this position is based upon several factors, including but not limited to education, qualifications, prior relevant work experience and work location.
