Compliance Reporting Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of compliance reporting software, ensuring high performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to shape product vision, define technical requirements, and assess feasibility across teams.
  • Drive architectural decisions, setting standards and guiding the team toward best practices in software design and infrastructure.
  • Provide high-level oversight of engineering execution, identifying technical risks and dependencies, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions.
  • Mentor and grow engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Champion debugging and performance optimization, leading efforts to identify and resolve bottlenecks across applications and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and documentation practices, promoting consistency and quality across the codebase.
  • Ensure consistent use of Azure DevOps repositories and work items, guiding developers in maintaining best practices for version control, task tracking, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, operations, and other engineering teams to ensure smooth releases and system reliability.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

  • Proven experience leading software engineering teams and driving technical strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, with strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Advanced debugging and performance optimization skills, with the ability to guide others in resolving complex system issues.
  • Strong architectural and design expertise, with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and influence product direction.
  • Deep expertise in .NET technologies, including .NET Core, C#, and SaaS application development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, and Angular.
  • Strong experience with source control best practices in collaborative environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead developers, fostering growth and accountability.

Preferred:

  • Experience with healthcare data formats and compliance standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ANSI X12).
  • Expertise in designing and integrating APIs and web services (RESTful and SOAP).
  • Proven success in Agile/Scrum environments, driving process improvements and sprint outcomes.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (Repositories, Work Items) and cloud-based CI/CD workflows.

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and event-driven architectures.
  • Understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and reporting standards.
