Get paid to travel while doing what you love! We're looking for a skilled technician ready to hit the road, work hands-on with advanced HVAC systems, and deliver top-tier service to customers across the U.S. This is a direct hire opportunity for a Field Service Technician in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Install, repair, move, or dismantle company-manufactured equipment at customer facilities
• Plan and perform work using an in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic theory and principles
• Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and specifications for emergency or scheduled maintenance, installation, and inspections
• Troubleshoot and service electronic systems, including testing and replacing defective components, circuit boards, modules, and similar devices
• Educate operators and maintenance personnel on safe practices and standard operating procedures related to electronic and mechanical equipment
• Install and maintain power and communication wiring, including splicing and routing as needed
• Adjust, calibrate, and test machinery to ensure maximum production efficiency and quality standards
• Identify and resolve mechanical and operational issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, document findings, and recommend solutions
• Examine and analyze product quality and equipment performance, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications
• Notify customer leadership of malfunctions, corrective actions, and quality concerns, providing clear and detailed reports
• Train and mentor customer maintenance teams on troubleshooting and repair procedures
• Maintain strict safety protocols, particularly when working with high-voltage electrical systems
• Support equipment networking and software integration, providing guidance to customers on proper usage

Field Service Technician Requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems with the ability to apply skills to a wide range of machinery and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Skilled in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic equipment, including calibration and testing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and their teams
• Thorough understanding of customer service principles and company standards
• Ability to work with precision and minimal tolerance, especially when handling high-voltage systems
• Physical capability to work in challenging environments, including climbing, working under machines, and operating in confined spaces
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to prevent and resolve issues quickly and safely
