As a Senior Engineering Manager in Cloud Engineering, you will focus on delivery enablement, team effectiveness, and engineering operations, ensuring teams can execute predictably as the organization grows in size and complexity. This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with Tech Leads and engineers to remove friction, improve execution, and strengthen engineering culture.
This role is not about adding layers of management, it's about making the system work.
Own delivery execution and predictability for one or more Cloud Engineering teams
Support Tech Leads with prioritisation, planning, and architectural alignment
Drive engineering operations such as planning rituals, onboarding, and execution follow-up
Own and use engineering metrics (flow efficiency, cycle time, WIP, DORA) to guide decisions
Reduce delivery friction by addressing dependencies, bottlenecks, and operational noise
Support incident operations, follow-ups, and continuous improvement
Mentor engineers and Tech Leads, fostering ownership, autonomy, and accountability
Strengthen team culture, communication, and collaboration during a phase of growth
Act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, Customer Support, and other stakeholders
Must have
6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in an engineering management role
Strong understanding of modern software delivery and cloud-native systems
Proven experience improving delivery predictability and team execution
Ability to work effectively with senior engineers and Tech Leads
Experience using metrics to guide delivery and process improvements
Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, execution-oriented mindset
Nice to have
Experience managing platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering teams
Familiarity with incident management and operational workflows
Background in SaaS, developer tooling, or systems-level products
Experience in fast-growing or post-Series A/B environments
