We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and skilled Maintenance Engineer (overnight) to join our team at the Westin Grand Cayman Resort and Spa! We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take care of our maintenance efforts, ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities while delivering exceptional service to our guests. This role will be primarily overnight shifts.

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the hotel's high standards. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves handling maintenance requests efficiently and promptly.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, wall vinyl, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and minor carpentry work.
• Respond to all maintenance requests within 15 minutes and ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches or replaces plasterboard, paint walls, ceilings and trim
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems.
• Maintain a log of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests. Follow work order procedures.
• Must provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
• Other duties may be required as business needs demand.
• Must be flexible to work some days but mostly overnight shifts (11pm–7am), as well as weekends, public holidays, and on-call duties.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in various types of hotel maintenance and renovations required.
• Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry repairs required.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, the primary language used in the workplace.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask while being goal and results-oriented.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Proven record of maintenance knowledge required.
