We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as Engineer III. This individual is a proactive solution seeker, they lead by example, don’t settle for the normal, and continuously encourage and engage their team members. They will ensure the effective and efficient operation in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs similar work individually as needed and in support of the engineering team in a manner consistent with the mission, operating philosophy, standards, and values of the Pyramid Global Hospitality.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain Excellence: Ensure the hotel’s facilities are top-notch by performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Problem Solver: Diagnose and address issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and disruptions for guests and staff.
  • Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to promptly address and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Innovate Solutions: Propose and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including power outages, plumbing issues, and HVAC malfunctions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to avoid potential problems before they arise.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
  • Adaptability: Handle various tasks and projects, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a hotel engineer or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Environment: Inside and outdoor facilities standing on hard floors. Work entails varying conditions of noise levels, temperature, and air humidity levels. Outdoors, some exposure to extreme and inclement weather.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant standing and occasional walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Manual dexterity of hand and fine motor skills in order to use all engineering tools and equipment, i.e., computers, drills, hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, chemicals, carts, powered equipment, etc.
  • Ability to perform duties in confined spaces and within extreme temperature ranges
  • Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push/pull goods up to 50 lbs or a maximum of 200 lbs on a hand cart/truck.
  • Ability to strictly follow all sanitation, safety and cleaning schedules practicing clean-as-you-go techniques.
