Basic Functions: The Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel systems, equipment, and facilities. This includes interior and exterior lighting, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, swimming pools and related systems, ice machines, plumbing, fire safety equipment, and guest room maintenance.
One (1) or more years of experience in maintenance/engineering, with a combination of hospitality experience preferred. Require good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs + on a regular and continuous basis. Must be able to stand for 8 consecutive hours. Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively to guest and property needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Commitment to safety standards and emergency protocols Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, including in hot weather conditions for extended periods Hotel Adeline is an equal opportunity employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
