Compliance Business Analyst

The Compliance Business Analyst plays a key role within the Compliance data management team, collaborating closely with Compliance programme leads and specialists to elicit, analyze, and document detailed requirements for various compliance initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated interest in the compliance domain. While deep domain expertise is not required, a passion for learning and the ability to quickly grasp compliance concepts are essential. This position will focus on supporting process standardization and regulatory alignment. The Compliance Business Analyst will also contribute to operational projects related to document management, SharePoint administration, and team organization, ensuring compliance functions are well-structured and aligned with business goals. Additionally, this role will support data management tech leads with product backlog management, including grooming Product Backlog Items (PBIs) and assisting data management leadership in prioritization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Compliance programme leads and specialists to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for compliance projects. This includes conducting interviews, workshops, and reviewing existing documentation to understand current processes and futures.
  • Groom product backlogs to ensure prioritization of tasks and clarity of requirements.
  • Develop checklists to support application onboarding and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Support data management tech leads by managing and grooming product backlogs, including refining PBIs and assisting with prioritization efforts under the guidance of data management leadership.
  • Monitor the progress of PBIs during sprints and assist in sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate elaborations and meetings between data management and internal compliance team.
  • Provide stakeholder support during access reviews. This includes running the checkpoint calls during the attestation period.
  • Work closely with compliance programme leads (CPLs) across various portfolios to ensure alignment of compliance initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather insights and foster collaboration on compliance requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure transparency and understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and track their impact.
  • Contribute to operational projects related to document management, SharePoint administration, and team organization within the BAO Compliance team.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform business strategies.
  • Create training materials and resources to educate staff on new systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure that knowledge is captured and shared within the organization.

Mandatory skill sets include:

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Agile, Planner, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Experience with document management systems, SharePoint administration, and workflow automation.

Preferred skill sets include:

  • Basic knowledge of SQL (nice to have).

Years of experience required: 3+ years and above.

Education qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
