ServiceNow Developer – Senior Associate

The ServiceNow Developer – Senior Associate plays a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow applications and workflows. They will leverage their knowledge of JavaScript, low-code/no-code configurations, and platform capabilities to build scalable solutions across various ServiceNow modules. This role requires experience with application development, external system integrations, and the ability to support enterprise-level service delivery. The Senior Associate is also expected to mentor junior developers and uphold coding and development best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and modules on the ServiceNow platform.
• Configure and implement workflows, forms, business rules, and client/server scripts using JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, release planning, and Agile ceremonies to ensure clean, maintainable code.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, promoting platform standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of working experience in a ServiceNow development role.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - required.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - required.
• ServiceNow ITSM Certification - preferred.

Required Skills:

• JavaScript Programming - Proficient in client-side and server-side scripting within the ServiceNow platform.
• ServiceNow Platform Development - Skilled in building custom applications and workflows across modules.
• REST and SOAP Integration - Capable of integrating ServiceNow with external systems using standard APIs.
• Agile/Scrum Methodologies - Comfortable working in iterative development environments and sprints.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP, and REST.
• Experienced using the ServiceNow App Developer tooling.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules.
• Experience with Service Catalog and CMDB.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code development on ServiceNow App Engine.
• Exposure to ServiceNow Flow Designer.
• Understanding of Performance Analytics and IntegrationHub is a plus, but not required.
