Transaction Services:
We are one of the leading providers of M&A and transaction support services in Greece. The Deals & Strategy Transaction Services team works side-by-side with senior members of our clients' teams to create tangible and sustainable value from their M&A transactions and offers comprehensive support throughout the transaction lifecycle. Our services include financial / business due diligence services, advising clients in their negotiations on the financial aspects of share purchase agreements, reviewing completion accounts to safeguard value and conducting special purpose assignments ( e.g. deal analytics and data - driven insights, vendor assistance ). We help clients assess the financial health and potential risks or opportunities of target companies, ensuring informed decision-making.
At Deals & Strategy Transaction Services you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile M&A transactions, increase your visibility to senior members of our clients' management teams and build lasting relationships as their trusted advisor. You will also become part of a high achieving, collaborative team which focuses on knowledge sharing, thought leadership and the continuous development of its people through internal and external training and upskilling courses.
As part of our team, you will:
- Review business, financial and other information ( financial statements, industry reports, teasers, information memoranda, VDD/VA reports etc.) and analyze key business drivers;
- Leverage existing technologies and new data analysis tools (Alteryx, Power Queries / Power Pivot, Power BI, AI tools, other in-house tools) to prepare meaningful quantitative and financial analyses that identify key business risks and upsides;
- Leverage our integrated Due Diligence offering to collaborate with cross-LoS teams, drive innovation and increase your brand eminence across Deals & Strategy, Tax, Legal and Advisory;
- Participate in cross-border projects and training programs, expanding your professional network at an international level;
- Work with a diverse client base consisting primarily of large Greek and multinational corporates, domestic and foreign private equity funds, banks and financial investors;
- Interact with C-suite executives, gaining valuable experience in communication and relationship management;
- Conduct interviews with client and target management to understand how businesses operate, how transactions are reflected in financials and their effect on business valuation for transaction purposes;
- Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues, becoming part of their developmental journey and providing constructive feedback;
- Incorporate findings and conclusions into a key-issues executive report delivered and presented to clients;
- Undertake targeted market research on specific industries, companies and/or regulatory developments relevant to the client/project at hand;
- Contribute to marketing materials, proposals, presentations and pitch books, as well as internal initiatives that help our team differentiate and grow further.
What you bring matters:
- 2-5 years of relevant working experience in statutory audit and agreed-upon procedures engagements, financial planning and analysis, management reporting or accounting positions; prior experience in transaction services (buy or sell-side financial due diligence, SPA advice and review of completion accounts) and business plan reviews will be considered an asset;
- Excellent academic records from a top-tier Greek or international university (Bachelor's and/or Master's degree) with a background in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking, Mathematics, Engineering, Management Science & Technology, Business Administration or relevant discipline;
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with solid understanding of applicable accounting and reporting standards (e.g. IFRS, Greek GAAP), technical accounting skills (e.g. consolidations, mapping TBs to financial statements, accounts closing procedures, key business cycles), financial reporting, budgeting and business plan review processes;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in Greek, combined with a client-centric mindset offering advice and support from deal initiation through to completion;
- Commercial focus and genuine interest in understanding deal transactions and their unique value drivers;
- Collaborative, innovative and self-motivated mindset with willingness to invest in your personal development and professional growth and drive upskilling initiatives as part of our digital transformation journey and to embrace new challenges and technological tools (incl. AI);
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a resourceful approach to reimagine the possible, combined with a confident "can do" attitude;
- Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building client relationships;
- Willingness to study towards acquiring a high-profile professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CFA).
Other elements that would be highly regarded include:
- A relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) in progress or completed;
- Knowledge of advanced data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx) or other programming languages.
