AWS AI Engineer

As a global leader in cloud services, PwC is supported by PwC Poland's Cloud & Digital team. We provide first-class services in all areas of cloud computing, such as Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migrations, Data Analytics, DevOps, Application Modernization & Cloud Native. We support clients in their adoption of innovation, creation of new business models and streamlining their operational activities. We also improve the business performance of organizations.

Your Future Role:

  • Leading the design and delivery of GenAI solutions on AWS (Amazon Bedrock as primary, Amazon SageMaker where appropriate) from use-case discovery to secure, scalable production,
  • Building robust RAG and agentic AI workflows: document/knowledge ingestion, retrieval and grounding, guardrails, and tool-enabled automation that drives tangible business outcomes,
  • Owning prompt engineering, evaluation, and continuous quality tuning; establishing golden datasets, metrics, and safety checks to reduce hallucinations and bias,
  • Architecting reliable inference services and APIs; integrating GenAI into client applications and business processes with observability, cost controls, and security by design,
  • Advising PwC clients on GenAI adoption strategy, governance, ROI, and operating models; facilitating workshops and executive briefings that connect AI to value,
  • Prototyping quickly (PoCs/demos), validating with stakeholders, and iterating into production; codifying winning patterns into reusable accelerators and reference architectures,
  • Collaborating across Cloud & Digital, data, and security teams to meet Responsible AI, GDPR, and client compliance standards - "building trust and solving important problems",
  • Contributing to thought leadership and pre-sales with compelling narratives, showcases, and client presentations that highlight PwC's capabilities.

Apply If You Have:

  • Practical expertise with Generative AI on AWS: Amazon Bedrock model endpoints (e.g., Anthropic, Meta, Amazon), inference configuration, and guardrails,
  • Hands-on RAG design experience: embeddings, chunking, indexing, retrieval strategies, and evaluation; experience with vector stores (e.g., OpenSearch, pgvector, Pinecone),
  • Strong prompt engineering skills: role/system prompts, structured outputs, tool/function calling, and iterative prompt refinement based on evaluation results,
  • Experience building agentic AI flows and orchestration using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LangGraph,
  • Python proficiency for production-grade services and integrations; familiarity with GenAI libraries, APIs, and testing practices,
  • AWS fundamentals (IAM least privilege, networking basics, monitoring) and practical deployment on serverless/container stacks,
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker for hosting or pipelines when needed,
  • Ability to translate business problems into GenAI use cases and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English,
  • Working knowledge of ML fundamentals to support GenAI grounding and evaluation, with a focus on applying existing models rather than building from scratch.

Nice To Have:

  • Data engineering on AWS for GenAI: S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Athena, Kendra, and OpenSearch; building robust ingestion and transformation for retrieval,
  • MLOps/LLMOps practices: CI/CD, packaging, observability; MLflow or SageMaker Pipelines; evaluation harnesses and dataset/version management,
  • Exposure to other AWS AI services (e.g., Comprehend, Rekognition, Textract, Translate) and their integration patterns in enterprise solutions,
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation),
  • Experience with agent orchestration and secure tool integrations (e.g., CrewAI, LangGraph), plus connectors to enterprise systems,
  • Consulting experience: leading client workshops, developing proposals, shaping adoption roadmaps, and articulating ROI and business cases,
  • Understanding of Responsible AI and EU regulations (GDPR, AI Act readiness), privacy, and governance frameworks.

By Joining Us You Gain:

  • Work flexibility - hybrid working model, flexible start of the day, workation, sabbatical leave,
  • Development and upskilling - our full support during onboarding process, mentoring from experienced colleagues, training sessions, workshops, certification co/financed by PwC and conversations with native speaker,
  • Wide medical and wellbeing program - medical care package (incl. freedom of treatment, physiotherapy, discounts on dental care), coaching, mindfulness, psychological support, education through dedicated webinars and workshops, financial and legal counseling,
  • Possibility to create your individual benefits package (a.o. lunch pass, concierge, veterinary package for a pet, massages) and access to a cafeteria - vouchers, discounts on IT equipment and car purchase,
  • 3 paid hours for volunteering per month,
  • Additional paid Birthday Day off,
  • And when you start enjoying PwC as much as we do, you may recommend your friend to work with us.
