In-Store Sales Product Specialist
The 'In-Store Sales' product team is responsible for the Point of Sale (POS) system in all Tommy Hilfiger & Calvin Klein stores across EMEA. The POS system facilitates customer transactions by combining hardware and software to accept payments, track inventory, and manage sales data. It acts as the modern equivalent of a cash register, allowing the business to calculate totals, process payments via various methods, and issue receipts. Beyond just sales, the POS system provides valuable business tools, such as inventory management, sales reporting, customer relationship management (CRM), and marketing data collection, helping the business to streamline operations and gain deeper insights into buying trends.
As Product Specialist within the In-Store Sales team, you are responsible for (alongside the Product Owner) defining, developing, and guiding the product's lifecycle by aligning customer needs, business goals, and technology to create a seamless customer experience at the checkout. You will oversee product strategy and vision, coordinate the engineers, designers, and marketers, and analyze market trends and user feedback to ensure the product's continuous success in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision:
Define the product's long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap based on user needs and market opportunities.
Market & User Understanding:
Conduct market research and analyze customer data to understand user problems and identify product features that provide value.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Oversee the product's journey from conception and development through launch, and into its ongoing evolution. Support in agile ceremonies (demo, planning, grooming, retro, etc.) together with the Product Owner.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Coordinate and communicate the product vision to diverse teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales) to ensure alignment and focus on product development.
Feature Definition & Requirements:
Specify the functional requirements for new features and manage their release. Conduct workshops with key stakeholders across various departments - finance, security, operations, tax, legal - to design new features and get the necessary sign off.
Product Success & Performance:
Monitor market trends and product performance, and gather user feedback to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement. Identify the biggest opportunities for growth, identify key metrics of success and help in the prioritization of the product roadmap.
The Ideal Candidate:
University degree
2 to 4 years work experience in management consulting and/or as Business Analyst
Hands-on experience with Agile Scrum methodologies, concepts, and artifacts such as a product backlog, user stories, and epics.
Flexibility and a personal drive to "getting things done"
A team player and continuous improvement mindset
Working from home following company policies and may shift (currently 50% at office)
Experience in creating processes and implementing them to bring transparency and predictability
Fluency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
Ability to work in multi-cultural & multi-lingual environment
Ambitious, motivated to go the extra mile, and able to perform in a demanding work environment
