Responsibilities

• Lead projects working with cross-functional teams to build and demonstrate solutions.
• Good presentation skills, including training internal teams, partners and customers on the solutions you build as well as representing Pure Storage at conferences and other community events.

Pure Storage products integrate with a broad landscape of ecosystem software platforms and applications for observability, orchestration and management. We are constantly broadening and deepening our support in the enterprise datacenter ecosystem. Pure Storage is seeking to hire a DevOps/Platform engineer to focus on software integrations using SDKs and APIs build and maintain these integrations. In this role, you will work closely with Product Management, Solution Architects as well as other cross-functional teams on the company's current and future goals. You'll be required to have strong coding skills with fair knowledge on external block storage and file systems like XFS, NFS, SMB, S3. You'll need to be well versed with other datacenter platform components like Kubernetes/containers, virtual server management, IP network connectivity on-premise and in the public cloud connections to AWS & Azure.

What you'll be doing:

• Designing & automating 3rd party software development tools like Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, ArgoCD for CI/CD workflows; integrating Pure Storage Platform technologies with third party technologies such as OpenStack, Splunk, Ansible.
• Developing and integrating plugins into existing and new frameworks on Pure Storage data Platforms using REST APIs.
• Automating a repeatable model using Ansible and Terraform modules for various solutions on traditional (Bare Metal (BM) / Virtual Machines (VMs)) and Kubernetes environments.
• Developing lab automation and live/recorded demonstrations for empowering sales and field engagements.
• Creating technical presentations for customer, field, and partner use
• Developing automation tools for simplifying Solution deployments based on Reference Architectures.
• Implementing and automating test scripts to validate the software integrations.
• Managing and maintaining automation and integration script in Pure Storage GitHub location.
• Learning and understanding the technical strategy in regard to product integration. This may include participating in cross-functional teams to review and influence product roadmaps.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in computer science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required.
• Thorough knowledge of Python and Shell scripting. Familiarity with more than one of the other programming languages like YAML, JSON, Go Lang, Java, or C# is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of automation frameworks like Ansible and Terraform.
• Working knowledge of OpenStack and its development workflows.
• Working knowledge of data center infrastructures and environments, including storage, compute, and networking. Additional knowledge of Storage management APIs.
• Sound infrastructure knowledge in Linux distributions including virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of VMware Management interfaces like VMware Cloud Foundation, Tanzu Kubernetes etc.
• Good working knowledge on Kubernetes on-premise and in the public cloud.
