Technical Account Manager

As a Technical Account Manager at Pump, you'll play a foundational role in building and managing the infrastructure that powers our platform. You'll work directly with engineers, founders, and cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure cloud systems and influence the technical direction of our company. This is a hands-on position where your contributions will shape not just our systems, but our product and culture.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead pre-sales architecture, solution design, and technical delivery for AWS infrastructure projects.
  2. Architect and manage cost-efficient AWS environments, with a focus on EKS, reserved instances, savings plans, and FinOps best practices.
  3. Implement and maintain AWS governance at scale, including IAM policies, organizations, and delegated admin.
  4. Assess how AWS marketplace services (e.g., ROSA, Datadog) impact organization-wide cloud adoption and cost management.
  5. Manage and implement AWS governance services: Control Tower, CloudTrail, Access Management, Artifacts, and CloudFormation Stacks.
  6. Collaborate effectively with design, engineering, and leadership teams to integrate infrastructure decisions into product strategy.
  7. Rapidly prototype and experiment with new approaches to infrastructure and automation.
  8. Support a secure, scalable, and efficient cloud platform that enables our product to grow with customer needs.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or solutions architecture.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS, especially with EKS and enterprise-level governance configurations.
  • Strong knowledge of FinOps, including cost optimization strategies and tooling.
  • Skilled in infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Startup experience or a strong bias toward action and experimentation.
  • Bonus: Experience with AWS marketplace tools like Datadog, ROSA, or similar SaaS integrations.
