Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and design specifications.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product features and ensure quality throughout the development process.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Automate test cases using appropriate tools and frameworks to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback on product quality to project teams and management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in software Quality Assurance or testing roles.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and performing root cause analysis.
• Experience with various testing types, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM).
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for automation scripting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
